Gujranwala 

a city in Pakistan, in Punjab Province. Population, 289.000 (1969, including suburbs). A railroad station is located there. The city produces cotton, knitwear, and electrical appliances. There is metalworking and various handicraft trades (the production of metal safes and copper-ware).
