Gustafson, Trygve
Born 1911. Swedish physiologist. Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Gustafson is a professor of animal physiology at the University of Stockholm and head of the department of developmental physiology at the Wenner-Gren Institute of Experimental Biology, also in Stockholm. Gustafson’s main works are devoted to the biochemistry of embryo development, the regulation of enzyme synthesis in vitro, and the role of mediators in the morphogenetic movements of the embryo.
