Born in 1847; died Jan. 29, 1935, in Moscow. Figure of the Paris Commune of 1871, a captain of the National Guard of the 17th district. He lived in exile after the suppression of the Commune. He went to live in the Soviet Union in 1925, along with many other veterans of the Commune.
