Hölder summation [′hel·dər sə‚mā·shən]

(mathematics)

A method of attributing a sum to certain divergent series in which a new series is formed, each of whose partial sums is the average of the firstnpartial sums of the original series, and this process is repeated until a stage is reached where the limit of this average exists.
