Ha Ha Tonka State Park Location: 5 miles southwest of Camdenton, off US 54, on Highway D in Camden County. Facilities: Picnic sites, 2 picnic shelters, special use area, hiking and backpacking trails (15 miles), 2 courtesy boat docks (for visitors who arrive by boat). Activities: Lake fishing, hiking, backpacking, nature programs. Special Features: One of Missouri's geologic and scenic wonders, Ha Ha Tonka overlooks the Lake of the Ozarks from high limestone bluffs. The Osage River hills area is a classic example of a topography known as "karst," characterized by caves, sinks, underground streams, large springs, and natural bridges. The park also contains one of the state's best remaining examples of savanna and the remains of a huge stone castle.
