Habib, Philip Charles (häbēb`), 1920–92, American diplomat, b. New York City. A career foreign service officer (1949–80), he served in various embassy and State Dept. posts. Habib took part in negotiations that led to the Paris peace accords with North Vietnam and the Camp David accords Camp David accords, popular name for the historic peace accords forged in 1978 between Israel and Egypt at the U.S. presidential retreat at Camp David, Md.
