Hamilton County State Fish & Wildlife Area Location: 8 miles southeast of McLeansboro, off Route 14 in southern Illinois. Facilities: Tent and trailer campsites with electricity and showers, boat launch, boat rental, picnic areas, playground, trails, concession stand. Activities: Camping, fishing, (10 HP limit for boats), hiking, horseback riding, hunting, ice fishing. Special Features: The park's main attraction is 75-acre Dolan Lake, which has 3 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 18 feet. The lake contains largemouth bass, bluegill, sunfish, crappie, channel catfish, and bullheads.
