Hammonton, town (1990 pop. 12,208), Atlantic co., S N.J., a residential and manufacturing suburb of Philadelphia; inc. 1866. The city is a shipping and processing center for fruit. Wood products, clothing, medical supplies, and pharmaceuticals are manufactured, and there is a winery.
