Location:West of I-93 (Exit 17), near Boscawen.
Facilities:Picnic area.
Special Features:Erected in 1874, Memorial was the first publicly-funded statue in New Hampshire. It commemorates the courage of Hannah Duston, who escaped after being taken prisoner in 1697 during the French and Indian War. The monument is located on a small island at the confluence of the Contoocook and Merrimack rivers.
