Hardt 

mountains in the southwestern part of the German Federal Republic; the northern continuation of the Vosges. The Hardt Mountains measure 75 km in length and rise to a maximum elevation of 687 m at Mount Donnersberg. Making up part of the Pfälzer Wald, the mountains have oak, beech, and pine forests, with vineyards in the foothills.
