Hare’s Ear
(Bupleurum). a genus of plants of the family Umbelliferae. They are annual or perennial grasses, more rarely shrubs or semishrubs, and are sometimes evergreens. The leaves are entire; the flowers are small, mostly yellow, and are gathered in complex umbels. There are more than 150 species; they grow in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. In the USSR there are approximately 45 species, predominantly in the Caucasus and Middle Asia, more rarely in the European part, Siberia, and the Far East. REFERENCELinchevskii, I.
