Harold Parker State Forest

Location: 20 miles north of Boston, in Andover, North Andover, North Reading, and Middleton.
Facilities: 91 campsites (some @di sites; no hookups), hot showers, restrooms (é), picnic area, beach (é), bathhouse, trails, nature center (seasonal).
Activities: Camping, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting (with restrictions), cross-country skiing, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features: Situated in one of the state's oldest woodlands, the forest includes 11 ponds and more than 35 miles of trails and logging roads.
