Hartley oscillator [′härt·lē ¦äs·ə‚lād·ər]
(electronics) A vacuum-tube oscillator in which the parallel-tuned tank circuit is connected between grid and anode; the tank coil has an intermediate tap at cathode potential, so the grid-cathode portion of the coil provides the necessary feedback voltage.
