Hatti 

(also Hattians), the name of ancient inhabitants of the lands making up the northern and central parts of the Hittite Empire. The Hatti were the first people in history to make articles from iron obtained by the bloomery process. The culture and religion of the Hatti had a great influence on the culture and social organization of the early Hittites.
