Haugesund

Haugesund (hou`gəsn), city (1995 pop. 29,073), Rogaland co., S Norway, a port on the North Sea. It has large fisheries and industries producing processed fish and aluminum. It also has a 928-ft (283-m) drydock, which, at its completion in 1979, was the largest in Scandinavia. Nearby are numerous Viking monuments, including the grave of Harold I (9th cent.).
Haugesund 

a city and North Sea port in Norway, in the fylke (county) of Rogaland. Population, 27,000 (1975). The city manufactures and exports fish products and has shipyards and dry docks.

Since November 2007 alone, the chain has announced new hotel projects in Haugesund, Stavanger, Bodaae and at Gardermoen Airport.
The Queen of Scandinavia service will cease operating between North Shields and Stavanger, Haugesund and Bergen on September 1.
Helen Bull, international marketing manager at One NorthEast, said: "This is the first time the regional TV advert has been broadcast internationally and by taking the campaign to the big screen, we are able to cost- effectively target the four main towns and cities ( Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Haugesund.
