Leyzerovich, who previously worked for the Russian Thermal Engineering Research Institute, describes different approaches to constructing start-up instructions, managing variation in power consumption, monitoring heat rate and temperature, analyzing a turbine's operating conditions, and extending a stream turbine's life.
Repeatable and accurate positioning of Superheat and Reheat Pass dampers improves thermal efficiency of coal-fired boilers, helping to lower the heat rate as much as 8%, reduce NOx emissions up to 85%, and eliminate ash cleanup.
