Location: 2.5 miles northeast of Heavener, off US 59 and 270.
Facilities: Picnic area, group shelters, trails, amphitheater, gift shop, playground.
Activities: Hiking, educational programs.
Special Features: The runestone stands 12 feet high, 10 feet wide, and 16 inches thick, and is located in a deep ravine where a 32-foot waterfall cascades down the cliff face. It is believed that the stone marks a land claim made more than 1,000 years ago by Scandinavian explorers.
