Dean Heller has become the first high-ranking Nevada Republican to call on Sen.
This provision, Heller's complaint argues, ignores "the need to keep a firearm in useable condition for defense of self and others against an unlawful, sudden, and deadly attack" Heller also objects to the city's broad interpretation of its "machine gun" ban, according to which virtually all semiautomatic handguns, the most common self-defense weapons, are prohibited.
Heller reiterated his belief that the oft-described "two worlds" of religion and science are not at odds, saying that without the meaning afforded by religion, "science would be meaningless.
