No roads cross Hells Canyon's 10-mile wide expanse, and only three roads lead to the Snake River between the Hells Canyon Dam and the Oregon-Washington state line. Includes the Snake, Imnaha, and Rapid wild and scenic rivers. Hells Canyon NRA is part of Wallowa-Whitman, Nez Perce, and Payette national forests (see separate entries in this section).
