Mikania
a genus of plants of the family Compositae. They are shrubs and usually climbing perennial grasses. The leaves are opposite, and the usually white or pink flowers grow in clusters of four in spicate or other compound inflorescences. There are approximately 250 species, found primarily in the tropics and subtropics of America. Some herbaceous species are used in landscaping. Climbing hempweed (Mikania scandens), which grows wild from Florida and Texas throughout tropical America, is raised in greenhouses. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
