Heteroclite
a word with an irregular declension. A heteroclite is an inflected word that either belongs to a mixed type of declension—for example, the Russian put’ (path) derives all forms except the singular of the instrumental case according to the paradigm of nouns like step’ (steppe) but forms the instrumental singular according to the paradigm of nouns like kon’ (horse)—or forms its cases from varying stems—for example, the Latin nominative case is iecur (liver) and the genitive case, iecineris.
