Based on 35-plus years of notes and exchanges with fellow Sierra hikers, climbers, and skiers, his text offers outdoors enthusiasts a guide to thousands of routes on some 600 peaks in California's High Sierras, all organized into chapters covering 13 areas from the south to the north part of the region.
Though I won't have time to see much on this trip - I'm at a peace conference and must be back by Thursday - the country is simply breathtakingly beautiful from high sierra to sweeping golden beaches.
Tam are presented in a combination of history, prints and poetry--a fine literary collaboration by the authors of THE HIGH SIERRA OF CALIFORNIA.
