an Indian newspaper corporation that publishes eight daily newspapers and several weeklies. The group’s newspapers include the Hindustan Times (founded 1923), which is printed in English; and Hindustan (founded 1933), which is printed in Hindi. The Hindustan Times Group is controlled by the family of the monopolist G. Birla.
