Hoffman, Malvinia Cornell

Hoffman, Malvinia Cornell (b. Grimson) (1885–1966) sculptor; born in New York City. She studied at the Art Students League (c. 1909), traveled to Paris to study with Rodin (1910–14), and returned to New York City. She became known for her sculptures of famous personalities, such as Mask of Anna Pavlova (1924), and for 100 figures, Races of Man (1929–33), commissioned by the Field Museum, Chicago.
