Stephen Adie, aged 44, who had been working from Holyhead, Wales, was arrested by Warwickshire Police last Thursday at the request of South Wales Police who had swooped on Stena Nordi-coffices to seize computer equipment.
The nine-man team was greeted by 200 supporters at Howth on Sunday after crossing from Holyhead, Wales, in 17 hours 40 minutes.
The man, from Holyhead, Wales, whose wife's ashes had been scattered on the cliff some weeks beforehand, later finished his planting in safety.
