HomeOS

(HOME Operating System) A platform from Microsoft for controlling all the network-connected devices in the home (smartphones, tablets, appliances, security cameras, sensors, TVs, etc.). Announced in 2010, HomeOS is licensed free of charge to encourage research and development by third parties. See Lab of Things.
