Hopa 

a city in northeastern Turkey, in the il of Çoruh, on the Trabzon-Artvin highway. Population, approximately 10,000. Hopa, a port on the Black Sea near the border of the USSR, ships out crude copper, which is smelted at a plant in Murgul. There is fishing nearby.
