Homolovi Ruins State Park Location: Just off I-40 outside Winslow. Facilities: Pueblo ruins, visitor center, bookstore, exhibits; 53 campsites with electric hook-ups, dump station, restrooms, and showers; picnic areas, picnic shelters, trails (é). Activities: Camping, hiking, picnicking, wildlife viewing, interpretive programs. Special Features: Park serves as a center of archeological research for the late migration period of the Hopi from the 1200s to the late 1300s and is a sacred place to the Hopi. At the same time, the park provides an opportunity for visitors to visit the sites, which consist of three main pueblo ruins, and to use other park facilities.
