Hornung, Paul (Vernon) (1935– ) football player; born in Louisville, Ky. A Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback at Notre Dame, he became an All-NFL (National Football League) halfback with the Green Bay Packers, scoring a season-record 176 points in 1960.
