show jumping

Competitive riding of horses through an obstacle course. Horses run the course one at a time, and the winner is judged according to jumping ability and speed. Individual and team jumping events have been part of the Olympic Games since 1912. The President's Cup is the world team championship.

He said that the facility of riding club, arena polo club, jumping club, tent pegging, stick and ball, horse jumping show, along with recreational space has been made available under the supervision of best horse trainers.
I remember, years ago, a TV commentator on a horse jumping show, describing the huge effort made by Harvey Nichols (I think it was) in getting his horse to clear a 7ft jump, saying he "literally lifted the horse over the jump", which means he would have had to dismount and with a feat of amazing strength, hoist the poor animal into the air and over the jump.
Last year, the show, which has been traditionally billed as an agricultural event, had to abandon its livestock and horse jumping contests because of the foot and mouth crisis.
