Born Mar. 22, 1875, in Tübingen; died there Apr. 4, 1969. German paleontologist. In 1899, Huene graduated from the university in Tübingen, where he later became a professor of geology and paleontology. His primary works dealt with Paleozoic and Mesozoic fossil reptiles of Europe, mainly Germany, and of South America, southern Africa, and India.
