Location: On Peace Valley Road in Gorman, 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 55 miles south of Bakersfield.
Facilities: Camping areas, picnic areas, restrooms (vault toilets), visitor center; drinking water is not available.
Activities: Camping, ORV riding, hiking.
Special Features: Recreation area features more than 130 miles of scenic trails for motorcycles, ATVs, dune buggies, and four-wheel drive vehicles, including a practice mini-track for beginning riders. A 60-acre preserve protects valley oaks and native bunchgrasses.

The only local areas where off-highway riding is legal are the Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area above Castaic, Angeles National Forest's Rowher Flats area off Sierra Highway and portions of Drinkwater Flats in Bouquet Canyon.
