Location: Huron NF is in east-central Michigan; Manistee NF is in west-central Michigan. Accessible by US 10, 23, 27, 31, and 131; MI 20, 33, 37, 46, 55, 65, 72, and 82. Nearby cities/towns include Big Rapids, Cadillac, Manistee, Grayling, Harrisville, and Muskegon.
Facilities: Visitor center, 20 campgrounds, 5group camps, dispersed camping, picnic sites, boat launches, trails (330+ miles), scenic drives.
Activities: Camping, fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, OHV riding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling.
Special Features: The historic Lumberman's Monument, erected in 1932; access to Lake Huron and Lake Michigan and their excellent beaches.
