Hybrid SACD |
Also found in: Wikipedia | 0.18 sec. |
Hybrid SACDA combination CD/SACD disc, which is a music CD that contains all the titles in the standard CD audio (CD-DA) format on the top layer and the higher-fidelity SACD format on the bottom layer. Hybrid SACD discs became available in 2003. A combination CD/DVD-Audio disc is also available (see Flip Disc) that uses two sides rather than two layers, because DVD players look for the CD layer first. See SACD and DVD-Audio.
