Inia 

a river in Kemerovo and Novosibirsk oblasts, RSFSR. A right-bank tributary of the Ob’, it is about 663 km long and drains an area of 17,600 sq km. It originates in and flows primarily through the Kuznetsk Hollow. The river is fed primarily by snow. The mean annual flow rate at the village of Kaily (119 km from the mouth) is 45.6 cu m per sec. The river freezes in early November and thaws in mid-April. The major tributaries on the left are the Kas’ma, Ur, and Bachat rivers. In the spring, the Inia and its tributaries are used for floating timber. The cities of Leninsk-Kuznetskii and Toguchin are located on the river; the city of Novosibirsk is situated at its confluence with the Ob’ River.


Inia 

a river in Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR. It is 330 km long and drains an area of 19,700 sq km. The river originates at the northeast end of the Suntar-Khaiata Mountain Range from Lake Khel-Deli. At its point of entry into the Sea of Okhotsk, it divides into channels. The Inia is fed by snow and rain. There is high water in the spring and occasional flooding owing to rain in the summer. The river’s major tributary is the Nilgysy (on the right).
