INTERSOLV

A software company that specialized in software configuration management products for managing large software projects. Its PVCS line has been widely used. INTERSOLV was acquired by Micro Focus Group in mid-1998, which later changed its name to MERANT. Serena Software, San Mateo, CA (www.serena.com) acquired MERANT in 2004. See PVCS and MERANT.

Peters has more than 25 years of experience in various software and IT industry roles, including his role as CEO of Cerebellum Software and general manager of data connectivity group at INTERSOLV, where he led the unit to become the leading independent software vendor in the data access middleware market.
As CEO of INTERSOLV before this, Gary oversaw the merger with Micro Focus to form MERANT in 1998.
In addition to Vastera, Balsamo has also served in key senior financial positions with INTERSOLV, Inc.
