This enables interconnect carriers to interwork calls using standards-based ANSI ISUP over SIP-I to any ETSI ISUP variant over SIP-I.
ISUP (ISDN User Part) defines the messages and protocol used in the establishment and tear down of voice and data calls over the PSTN, managing the trunk network on which they rely.
The lab also hosts several SS7 solutions with multiple ISUP protocol stacks, carrier grade server hardware from Sun Microsystems and Hewlett- Packard, signal processing and monitoring equipment, VoIP devices including hardware from Lucent, Nuera and Cisco, CMTS routers (for broadband cable network access), xDSL multiplexers (for DSL broadband connectivity), Dialogic powered IVR technologies and SIP devices.
