ITMS (AICPA)
(Information Technology Membership Section, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York, www.aicpa.org) A membership group of the AICPA whose mission is to provide value to their clients and employers through effective application of information technologies. Volunteers serve on committees supported by the Information Technology Team professional staff.

The ITMS provides a forum for all AICPA members, including public practice, industry, education and government, to exchange ideas and benefit from each other's experiences. It helps CPAs improve their competency in technology and keep abreast of the latest changes.

Also offered is a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential, which can be earned only by CPAs who are members of the AICPA. This specialty credential is earned on a points basis from business experience and life long learning and is intended for those individuals whose skills best bridge the areas of business and technology.
