IVDS

(Interactive Video and Data Services) The wireless implementation of interactive TV. In 1994, an additional part of the VHF television spectrum (218-219 MHz), which was divided into 1450 licenses, was auctioned to the highest bidders by the U.S. government. Organizations that own these licenses will be able to provide interactive television services to subscribers in their jurisdictions. See interactive TV.
