Iablonovyi
a mountain range in Transbaikalia, mostly in Chita Oblast, RSFSR. The Iablonovyi Range is 650 km long, extending from the Malkhanskii Range in the west to the mouth of the Niukzha River (a tributary of the Olekma) in the east. It has elevations of up to 1,680 m. The range is composed of granites, schists, and sandstones. There are traces of ancient glaciation. The slopes are covered with larch taiga and, less frequently, spruce-fir taiga. Pine forests are found on the southern slopes. At elevations above 1,200–1,400 m mountain tundra vegetation is encountered. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
