Iakushin, Mikhail Iosifovich
Born Nov. 2 (15), 1910, in Moscow. Soviet athlete. Honored Master of Sport (1940); Honored Coach of the USSR (1957). Iakushin graduated from the Higher School of Coaches in 1941. He was champion of the USSR in soccer (four times from 1935 to 1940), bandy (1936), and ice hockey (1947) as a member of the Moscow Dynamo team. In 1967 and 1968 he was senior coach of the Soviet soccer team. Iakushin has been awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, as well as medals. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
