Iama 

(in the upper course, Maimandzha), a river in Magadan Oblast, RSFSR. The lama is 316 km long and drains an area of 12,500 sq km. It rises in the southern spurs of the Maimandzha Range. Several branches of the river empty into Perevolochnyi Bay (lama Bay) of the Sea of Okhotsk. The river is fed by snow and rain. The lama is a spawning ground for salmon. The settlement of Iamsk is situated at its mouth.
