Iarega

an urban-type settlement in the Komi ASSR, under the jurisdiction of the Ukhta city soviet. It is located 2 km from the Iarega railroad station on the Kotlas-Vorkuta line. Subsurface oil mining is carried out in the area. The settlement has a wood-products industry. Two logging and timber distribution establishments are located at Iarega.
