Netto, Igor’ Aleksandrovich
Born Jan. 9, 1930, in Moscow. Soviet athlete; Honored Master of Sports (1954); soccer coach. Member of the CPSU since 1966. Netto was repeatedly champion of the USSR (five times between 1952 and 1962 as a member of the Moscow Spartak team, halfback). From 1952 to 1963 he was a member of the USSR national team and was its captain when it won the 1956 Olympic tournament at Melbourne and the European Cup in 1960 in Paris.
