illuvium [i′lü·vē·əm]
(geology)
Material leached by chemical or other processes from one soil horizon and deposited in another.

Illuvium 

mineral and organic substances leached by rainwater from the upper part of the soil and deposited in its lower parts (the illuvial horizon). Depending on the type of soil, illuvium may consist of humus, iron hydroxides, carbonate, or gypsum.
