Indian Lake State Park

Location: Take US 2 to Thompson, then M-149 north 3 miles to County road 442 and east .5 miles to park.
Facilities: 145 modern campsites (é), 72 semi-modern campsites (with electric hookups), picnic area (é), 2 picnic shelters (é), playground, beach house (é), boat launch, trails (é).
Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, hunting, cross-country skiing, interpretive programs.
Special Features: Park includes two separate units that are three miles apart and separated by Indian Lake. The lake is 6 miles long and 3 miles wide and has a surface area of 8,400 acres, but it is shallow, with a maximum depth of 18 feet, and is best suited for smaller boats.

Indian Lake State Park

Location: Off US 33 northwest of Bellefontaine; also accessible via State Route 233.
Facilities: 441 campsites (416 with electricity), rent-an-RV, group camp, 20 boat camping spaces, 3 camper cabins, showers, flush toilets, laundry, picnic areas, picnic shelters, hiking trails (7 miles), 2 swimming beaches, boat ramps, docks, playgrounds, miniature golf course, game courts, bike rentals, boat rentals.
Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, hiking, biking, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, ice fishing, ice boating, nature programs.
Special Features: The region of Indian Lake was originally a cluster of natural lakes situated on the Miami River. The present, much larger lake lies along one of the country's major avian migration routes and is a resting stop for several species of birds.
