Ingoda 

a river in Chita Oblast, RSFSR. It joins with the Onon River to form the Shilka River, one of the rivers constituting the Amur. The Ingoda is 708 km long and drains an area of 37,200 sq km. It originates in the Khentei Mountain Range. In its upper course the river flows in a narrow gorge. In its middle course it flows through a wide hollow between the Iablonovyi and Cherskii mountain ranges. After its confluence with the Chita River, the Ingoda cuts across the Cherskii Mountain Range and a number of other smaller ranges, where the river valley narrows. The river is fed primarily by rain. The mean flow rate at the mouth is 72.6 cu m/sec. The river freezes at the beginning of November and thaws at the end of April. The city of Chita is situated at the Ingoda’s confluence with the Chita River. The main line of the Trans-Siberian Railroad runs along the Ingoda’s valley over a considerable distance.
