Institute of Integrated Automation in the Petroleum and Gas Industry
(Research and Planning-Design Institute of Integrated Automation in the Petroleum and Gas Industry, VNIIKANEFTEGAZ), an institute developing automated control systems, including hardware and software, for the petroleum and gas industry and for the system of the State Supply Committee of the USSR. It was founded in 1960 in Moscow and is subordinated to the Ministry of Instrument-making, Automation Equipment, and Control Systems of the USSR. It has divisions in Krasnodar and Oktiabr’skii (Bashkir ASSR). Since 1965 it has published the journal Avtomatizatsiia tekhnologicheskikh protsessov (Automation of Production Processes).
