Interlochen State Park Location: In Grand Traverse County, 15 miles southwest of Traverse City on M-137. Facilities: 428 modern campsites (é), 52 rustic campsites, organization campground, mini-cabins (é), picnic area and shelter (é), playground (é), nature trail, 3 boat launches (é), boat rentals, concession/store/cafe (é) with video arcade. Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, interpretive programs. Special Features: Established in 1917, Michigan's first state park is situated between two well-known swimming and fishing lakes, Duck Lake and Green Lake. Adjacent to the park is Interlochen National Music Camp, which offers nightly performances by world-renowned artists.
