Half-Open Interval

in mathematics, the set of points on a number line that satisfy the inequality ax < b or the inequality a < xb. In the first case, the half-open interval is denoted by [a, b), and in the second case, by (a, b]. The points a and b are called the endpoints of the half-open interval.
